June 10th 14 miles and 1100 calories

June 10th
7 AM 7 miles on my Bicycle. I stopped half way at Starbucks but they were out of Decaf and I got tired of waiting for a new pot.

8 AM: Cheesecake Yogurt and water Never did get my coffee today

10:30 Vanila Creme Donut After this Blood sugar went to 127

12 noon: McDonald's for lunch, two Big and Tastys with regular Ice tea. After this Blood sugar went to 153.

7 PM : 4 miles on my bicycle and a bag of milk chocolate M&Ms

7:30 PM Cauliflower in olive oil and garlic for dinner. After this Blood sugar went to 100.

8 PM 3 more miles on my Bike

I am diabetic (type 2) and my blood sugar was wildly out of control so I decided to get serious and deal with it. I find the key for me is cut out caffeine and control carbs. So far I have dropped 80 pounds from my peak and I am getting stronger every day. The bicycle allows me to eat junk food while keeping the blood sugar under control. Whenever a reading is high I jump on the bike and knock it back in line quickly. Yeah I know I should exist on carrot sticks and sprouts but if that was my life I would hate it. I am droping weight, getting stronger and feeling great.
Why blog?
I found a journal helped me to keep control so I figured a blog would improve on that.
